Core Value #8: If it Ain't Broke--Break It!
Lake Ann could not be the camp that it is without the countless hours invested by our volunteers. However, in our continued effort to embrace change, we have decided to discontinue our Labor Day Work Bee. This event has been invaluable to the camp for many years now, but we are working towards an even better plan to give volunteers opportunities to get involved throughout the year (we have already seen the effectiveness of this new strategy so far this year). Watch for something really special to fill the Labor Day weekend in 2008!!
No matter what your talents or skills may or may not be, you can be used of God in a great way. This "work" weekend has become a family tradition for many. We do our best to make your weekend enjoyable as we work together in preparing the physical plant of the camp for the summer. It is our goal to create an atmosphere in which God ministers to over 13,000 people without distraction. Come as a family as we work, eat, fellowship, pray, and worship together.
Registration forms are available. Remember, sign-up early because cabins are on a "first-come, first-choice" basis.
